Dynamic English in Science |

เนื้อหาโดยย่อ Dynamic English in Science is constructed after its precedent, English in Scientific Context, with the aim at stimulating learners to interact with scientific texts analytically, syntactically and practically through speaking, listening, writing, and reading activities. The texts selected for the book represent those authentic texts most commonly found in professional discourse of science, at the level that is challenging for university students. The texts are dissected to show how the main idea can be elicited, how each block of thought at the sentence level is interrelated, and how key concepts of each paragraph form the overall picture. Language elements essential for text interpretation such as nominalization, modification, and other complex structures such as reported speech, conditionals, as well as parallelism, are offered. In addition, summary writing, mind mapping, and graph and table describing are presented to enable learners to display the information obtained from texts in different formats.
